Inclusion, SEND and Communication
Courses focused on inclusive practice, supporting children with SEND, and strengthening communication — including early language development and using Makaton.
Working with SEND Children
Every child deserves to feel included, supported, and understood. This course explores practical ways to identify and meet the needs of children with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) in Early Years settings. Learn how to adapt your environment, communication, and teaching approaches to ensure that all children can access learning and thrive. Aligned with the EYFS and SEND Code of Practice, this training builds practitioner confidence in early identification, intervention, and inclusive partnership with families.
Early Communication Skills with Makaton
Give every child a voice through signs, symbols, and speech. This course introduces Makaton, a simple and effective communication system that supports understanding and expression for all children — especially those with additional needs or delayed speech. Learn how to use Makaton signs and symbols confidently in daily routines, songs, and play to promote inclusion, connection, and early language development. Aligned with EYFS communication and language goals, this course helps practitioners create inclusive, language-rich environments where every child can be understood.
