What you’ll receive
Achieve an NCFE CACHE Level 3 Award
On successful completion of the qualification, learners achieve the NCFE CACHE Level 3 Award in Preparing to Work in Home-Based Childcare. A digital copy of the certificate can be provided, and the physical certificate can also be sent to the learner.
This is a regulated qualification award, not a CPD course completion certificate.

How learning is delivered
Entry requirements
Learners should be at least 16. NCFE sets no other entry requirements, although providers may apply their own guidance.

Instead of registering directly with Ofsted as an individual childminder, eligible applicants can register through MF, which provides guidance during registration, carries out the relevant agency checks and inspections, and offers ongoing support once registered.
Depending on your circumstances and eligibility, your journey with MF may also include the relevant training and qualifications needed to help you establish and run your childminding provision.
